The Screenwriter's Bible by David Trottier.  Also, read what you can on or by William Goldman.  Then start reading scripts, and reading scripts (simplyscripts.com), and watching movies.  Good luck.

I am still having lots of struggles but I will tell you the best thing I have found so far.  www.sydfield.com  You can even pay to have him read your treatment.  His DVD id great.  Hope that helps.  Smiley

My favorite book would have to be "How not to write a screenplay"  It is a must for writers.

Among my favorites is the easy "Screenwriters bible" that someone has already mentioned, but by far my favorite is "Finding the Screenwriter Within" by D.B Guilles it talks about drawing personal experiences from your life and putting them to pages. It's great!
